How WH Ventures collects, uses and protects your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect
When you send us an enquiry through our contact form, by email or on WhatsApp, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your phone number and business name, if you choose to give them
- the service you're interested in and your message
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use an analytics tool. Like all websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. If we add analytics in future, we will update this notice first.
Why we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and arrange a meeting
- to prepare a quote and, if you become a client, to provide our services
- to keep records we are required to keep by law, such as tax records
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep you updated.
Where it goes
The contact form sends your enquiry by email from our website host, Xneelo (South Africa), to the WH Ventures mailbox. Messages you send on WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp (Meta). We only share your information with service providers who need it to do this work, and they must keep it secure and confidential.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years, so we can follow up and refer back to our conversation. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as the work continues and then for five years, as South African tax law requires. After that, we delete them.
How we protect it
Our website uses a secure (https) connection, and access to the mailbox and our records is limited to the people who need it.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date
- ask us to delete your information, or object to us using it
To make a request, email our Information Officer at info@whventures.co.za. We will reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.
